The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation using tools like Selenium, API validation/testing, and experience with various architectural frameworks This role involves creating, maintaining, and executing robust automated testing frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b> <br/><br/><b>Automation Framework and Testing :</b> <br/><br/>- Design, develop, and maintain modular, extensible, and reusable test automation frameworks and scripts, while maintaining high stability.<br/><br/>- Set up, configure, and maintain the automation environment and data to ensure smooth testing processes.<br/><br/>- Develop and execute efficient automated performance test scripts to validate system stability and responsiveness.<br/><br/>- Create and maintain a comprehensive test automation library with scenarios to ensure thorough requirements and regression coverage.<br/><br/><b>Testing and Validation :</b> <br/><br/>- Assist in functional, regression, and integration testing for new or modified software programs using both manual and automated approaches.<br/><br/>- Validate Mobile, Web, and APIs using appropriate test automation testing tools and frameworks.<br/><br/>- Identify, report, and track product defects, providing clear and concise documentation of issues and potential improvements.<br/><br/><b>Collaboration and Process Improvement :</b> <br/><br/>- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on requirements, automation feasibility, and testing implications.<br/><br/>- Write, review, and verify test plans and procedures for product evaluations and defect identification.<br/><br/>- Accurately estimate testing timelines and work toward targeted on-time delivery by proactively removing roadblocks.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on product goals and ensure quality standards are met.<br/><br/><b>Operational Excellence :</b> <br/><br/>- Provide feedback and insights to improve the software quality assurance process and methodology.<br/><br/>- Stay up to date with the latest automation tools and best practices to optimize the automation framework.<br/><br/>- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to support critical testing needs outside of standard business hours.<br/><br/><b>What Youll Need to Be Successful (Required Skills) :</b> <br/><br/>- At least 5 - 7 years of experience in developing and executing automated software scripts.<br/><br/>- At least 2 years of experience in writing and executing manual test cases and test plans.<br/><br/>- Ability to interpret and apply scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript / Java / C#) for use in automation scripted custom actions<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of software quality assurance standards, practices, and methodologies.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with HTML and CSS selector for object identification for test automation.<br/><br/>- Ability to comprehend, perform project planning and execution, and mentor others while delivering on large, complex QA initiatives with minimal assistance and review.<br/><br/>- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for BI and reporting applications, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across large datasets.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to create and validate test datasets used in data modelling and reporting solutions.<br/><br/>- Perform manual and automated testing of BI dashboards, analytics, KPIs, and visualizations to ensure correctness and performance.<br/><br/>- Conduct SQL-based data validation against Amazon Redshift and other data sources to ensure data consistency and accuracy.<br/><br/>- 3+ years of experience in QA testing with a focus on BI and data analytics platforms.<br/><br/>- Strong proficiency in SQL for building querying and validating large datasets, preferably in Amazon Redshift.<br/><br/>- Experience with BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, or similar.<br/><br/>- Ability to balance individual and team effort in collaborative processes while meeting set deadlines<br/><br/>- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
