The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist with deep expertise in backend development, CI/CD, and containerized deployments - and who can mentor others while continuously improving processes.<br/><br/>Responsibilities :<br/><br/>- Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based applications using Spring Boot and Spring MVC.<br/><br/>- Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with microservices and third-party systems.<br/><br/>- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.<br/><br/>- Deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring scalability and reliability.<br/><br/>- Ensure code quality, performance tuning, and adherence to best practices through code reviews.<br/><br/>- Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and QA teams in an agile environment.<br/><br/>- Provide technical mentorship and support to junior team members.<br/><br/>- Prepare and maintain detailed design and technical documentation.<br/><br/>- Manage and track project progress using JIRA, and maintain documentation on Confluence.<br/><br/>- Conduct root-cause analysis, resolve complex technical issues, and propose long-term solutions.<br/><br/>- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, automation, and innovation activities.<br/><br/>- Take lead responsibilities in the absence of the designated lead or manager.<br/><br/>- Contribute to organizational activities, including technical recruitment and knowledge sharing.<br/><br/>Role Expectations :<br/><br/>- Demonstrate ownership and accountability for individual and team deliverables.<br/><br/>- Exhibit specialized skills and deliver with consistent quality and precision.<br/><br/>- Adapt tools, techniques, and procedures independently with minimal supervision.<br/><br/>- Show initiative in enhancing productivity, automation, and delivery standards.<br/><br/>- Communicate effectively and professionally across cross-functional teams.<br/><br/>- Provide accurate effort estimates, deliver tasks on schedule, and ensure continuous improvement.<br/><br/>Desired Candidate Profile :<br/><br/>- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.<br/><br/>- Practical knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and deployment pipelines.<br/><br/>- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of SQL and database design; exposure to NoSQL is a plus.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript or Angular (preferred).<br/><br/>- Solid understanding of Agile principles, DevOps, and modern software development practices.<br/><br/>- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
